Al, Blake, Scott, and Brett tried to give us girls a scare by putting $100 dollars in the $100 dollar slot machine. The hundred ended up not being Al's. He put it in and let it go and he almost won! The last bar stopped just before the line. Al almost won about $4,000 dollars.

Too Close!

VeGaS VaCaTiOn, BeRgMaN sTyLe!!
Although our trip to Vegas was fun it started out with a scare. When we were flying into Vegas our plane decided to land twice realizing the first time we were supposed to land there was a plane blocking our path on the runway! We had to circle around and land again. We were all a little nervous and ready to land. We started the trip out gambling, of course, and eating at the Toby Keith Bar. It was very good. Blake decided to stay out all night and gamble while most of us decided to get some sleep. With all of us rested up and ready for a new day in Vegas, Blake got caught up on some shut eye. We explored the strip some more and attempted to win some money playing Black Jack and the slots. We all decided to go to see Ray Ramano and Kevin James perform their comedy show at the Mirage. When we went to go pick up our tickets for the show there was a sign that said Ray Ramano was unable to be there due to a family illness, go figure! We were a little bummed but enjoyed the comedy. Our trip was unfortunately coming to the end and the sound of slot machines soon went away when we landed back to reality in Iowa. The plane ride wasn't so pleasant when we had about 15 minutes of turbulance. Well that was a brief explanation of our Vegas Vacation!

Snowed in again.!.
Liz and I are snowed in again for what seems like the 100th time this year. This year I have found a new hobby, snowmobiling I have been riding the Neff's snowmobile around which has been al ot of fun so far. Yesterday I rode into to Conrad and gave Cameron rides on it which was fun for both of us. Morgan was another story she could barely look at the snowmobile without crying in fear (very funny).
Liz and I have been honing our cooking skills together this year slowly working our way through the Grundy National Bank "Local Favorites Cookbook" (thanks megan) last night we made salisbury steaks which were awesome. This morning I made a delicious omelet with some left overs we had in the Fridge. Tonight I think we will make something in the slow-cooker. We'll I better get going we have a busy day of being snowed in...haha ;)

New Year, New Snow!
HaPpY NeW yEaR!!
Brett and I enjoyed spending the holidays with our family and friends. The new year got off to a great start when Penn State defeated LSU. :) It was unfortunate for Iowa to have pulled out the victory as well. Sorry to those Hawkeye fans. :) After the holidays came to and end, we were fortunate to have spent my birthday with my family and friends. Cameron and Morgan helped me blow out my birthday candles with my birthday with the Bergman's. We enjoyed the birthday cake and cookie cake a little too much! It was a birthday to remember!!
